StairBox is a leading UK supplier of custom-designed and built staircases. Early in 2024, after several months of successful SEO, StairBox expanded their contract to include Conversion Rate Optimisation services.

After gathering relevant data and analysing competitor activity, we decided on an initial CRO strategy aimed at better guiding visitors through their two primary funnels, ‘renovations’ and ‘new designs’. 

By tweaking certain visual elements and redesigning how CTAs are used across both funnels (and other pages), we managed to achieve a:

How did we do it?

While the original page was easy and intuitive to use, a deeper analysis revealed that more than 70% of visitors failed to scroll down far enough to see the desired CTAs (calls to action). Additionally, the CTA at the top of the screen was vague and rarely used.

By replacing the vague description and small button with two big, bold, and optimised alternatives, we made it significantly easier for users to either navigate to the balustrade builder or to the contact us page.
